The Zonta Club of Kaua‘i Foundation has announced that the date for the 20th Annual signature Valentine’s fundraiser, “Eat Dessert First” is Friday, February 8, 2013 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at a NEW LOCATION the Kauai Beach Resort. Offerings include desserts provided by Kaua‘i chefs, sugar-free items, fruit, vegetable and cheese trays, a huge silent auction and prize drawings (must be present to win).
There will be live island-style music by Cruz Control. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door, ($15 tax deductible contribution). Children 4 and under are free. Tickets will be available after December 1st at the following locations: Déjà vu Surf Outlet; Hairmates, Island Hardware, Kalaheo Café & Coffee Co; Kauai Chocolate Co.; Pictures Plus; Savage Pearls; The Wine Shop and Vicky’s Fabrics, or from any Zonta Club of Kauai member.
Most proceeds benefit the Zonta Club of Kauai Foundation scholarship program for Seniors at Kauai High Schools and also for women re-entering the workforce at Kauai Community College. Call Melinda Uohara at 652-6878 for event questions and 346-1058 for ticket information.
