The Garden Island News: Kicks off 2021 The Garden Island News: Donates over $70K Kauai News Now Zonta International |
For over 30 years, Zonta Club of Kaua'i Foundation and the Garden Island Newspaper (TGI) have teamed up to raise funds for people in our community who are in need of support. In 2024, we received over $70,000 in donations thanks to the generosity of many businesses and individuals. Eight non-profit agencies (Agency of Elderly Affairs, Women In Need, DOH Developmentally Disabled, KEO, Catholic Charities, YWCA, Child & Family Services, and Pa'a Lima) submitted case stories of families and individuals that could use help during the holiday season and those stories were printed in TGI. Due to the support of our community and friends of Kauai, we were able to provide assistance to over 400 keiki and kupuna with a brighter Christmas. Thank you to all who so generously contributed to this effort.
