Gratitude Saturday at Kukui Grove Center 2023
Zonta Club of Kauai members along with two non-profit agencies, YWCA of Kauai and Garden Island Federal Credit Union were present for Gratitude Saturday at Kukui Grove Center on November 18, 2023. Zonta members encouraged the public to make a donation to The Zonta Club of Foundation to assist families in need of non-profit agencies.  

Zontians Oppose Period Poverty
Campaign 2022
Zonta Club of Kauai asked individuals and businesses to donate feminine hygiene products at different locations across the island, such as the Kaua’i Independent Food Bank,  Hawai'i Foodbank Kaua'i branch, Kaua'i Economic Opportunity, the YWCA of Kaua'i, Catholic Charities and the ReStore at Kaua'i Habitat for Humanity.

Thanksgiving Luncheon
Members helped to serve the Salvation Army's Thanksgiving lunch that took place the day before Thanksgiving, at the Kaua'i War Memorial Convention Hall. Hundreds turned up for a delicious meal served up with lots of smiles.

Kaua'i Independent Food Bank Silver Anniversary Event 2019
​On September 13, 2019, the Kaua'i Independent Food Bank held their Silver Anniversary event at the Kaua'i Veteran's Center. Thanks to Cyndi Ayonon for suggesting Zonta members assist at the Registration and Silent Auction Tables and selling donation drawing tickets. Seven Zonta members volunteered:  Jeanette Bonilla, Cyndi Ayonon, Marge Akana, Lisa Arin, Edie Ignacio Neumiller, Lori Benkert and MaBel Fujichi. The Silent Auction (SA) was a success!!! 

Kauai Independent Food Bank 2020
Zonta Club of Kauai members pitched in to help the Kauai Independent Food Bank distribute food during the pandemic.

Taste of Hawai'i 2019
​On Sunday, June 2, 2019, six Zonta volunteers checked in over 1,300 ticket holders at the annual Rotary Club fundraiser, Taste of Hawaii, at Smith's Tropical Paradise in Wailua.  Mahalo to Marge Akana, Lori Benkert, Jeanette Bonilla, Edie Ignacio-Neumiller, Lisa Arin, and Neva Olson
​(who is also a Rotarian).

Kauai Independent Food Bank 2023
​Zonta Club of Kauai members were eager to volunteer for the Kauai Independent Food Bank’s food distribution held at the Kauai Veterans Center November 17, 2023.

Zonta Club of Kauai members volunteered to support our member Nikki Cristobal's non-profit which is dedicated to cultural perpetuation through public arts and place based learning opportunities. 

Kauai Independent Food Bank 2021
Throughout the pandemic Zonta Club of Kauai partnered with the Kauai Independent Food Bank to distribute food.

KEO Mana Olana
​Emergency Shelter Project 2020
On February 5, 2020, Zonta Kauaʻi members volunteered at the Kaua’i Economic Opportunity Mana Olana Emergency Shelter for the homeless. They provided dinner for 19 individuals and enjoyed spending time and socializing with them. ​

Weinburg Foundation​
Working in partnership with the Weinberg Foundation Friends Program and Kaua'i Economic Opportunity, Zonta Club of Kaua'i members addressed the urgent needs of the community through a special service project. Easter Seals, the Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity are just a few of the organizations that benefited from members' efforts. Read about their hands on sewing project for the County's Women's shelter HERE in 2017. Read about their 2016 project providing care packages for the County's emergency shelter HERE.
