Giving Back, the Zonta Way
We are a volunteer-powered, leading global organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. Through your donations, Zonta improves women's lives, their children's lives and the communities in which they live and work. Join us in making gender equality a reality for women and girls worldwide. Since 1923, Zonta International has provided more than $40.9 million to empower women and expand their access to education, health care, economic opportunities and safe living conditions. Support from the foundation helps thousands of women and girls overcome gender barriers to educational and professional advancement, provides opportunities for women to earn higher wages and achieve economic independence, ensures that women and children have access to quality, affordable health care, and strives to end violence against women and help survivors rebuild their lives. All Zonta Clubs contribute to the Zonta International Foundation. |

holds fundraising events to benefit the Zonta Club of Kaua'i Foundation, which provides material and financial support to women, children, and families who are survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Money raised goes towards grants that are awarded to organizations like the YWCA, Malama Pono, & United Way. We are also able to award scholarships to women who wish to pursue a higher education and advance their status in society. |

The Garden Island Newspaper /
Zonta Club of Kaua'i Christmas Fund
|
For more than 25 years, The Zonta Club of Kaua'i Foundation and The Garden Island Newspaper have teamed up to raise funds for people in our community who are in need of support. In 2019, we received $30,570 in donations which included the $5,000 donor match through the Hawai'i Community Foundation. With the help of nine agencies providing us with the stories of families and individuals that could use our help during the holiday season, we were able to provide 749 keiki and kupuna with a brighter Christmas, all through the support of our community and friends of Kaua'i! Mahalo to all who so generously give to this effort...
