Membership
The first Zonta Club was chartered in Buffalo, New York in 1919. Since that time, Zonta Clubs have enjoyed a long and proud tradition of cultural, linguistic and professional diversity. Zontians are architects, artists, doctors, educators, entrepreneurs, executives, lawyers, pilots, government officials and more.
Individuals join a Zonta Club, and Zonta Clubs, in turn, belong to Zonta International. Each Zonta Club selects, funds and participates in community service, education, and advocacy projects that promote women's economic self-sufficiency, political equality, access to education, health, and the elimination of violence against women. By joining forces with like-minded women and men, your voice, service and contributions can make a lasting and meaningful difference in women's lives. |
